However, since many papers have several authors it is helpful to view as many authors at once as possible. The document title wraps around to the second line when necessary, and it would be helpful if the author list did as well.</p><p>Gwendolyn Bennett said:<br /><div class="ugc"><p>It's very important to know the last author of a paper, so it makes it important to be able to see all the authors in the list. I think a similar feature request was closed a couple of weeks ago ("allow to set which pdf viewer to use") with the suggestion of changing the default pdf viewer for the system.
However, I have multiple pdf viewers installed: a lightweight one that I use for most pdfs, and a more complete one with the ability to highlight and take notes that I use for reading papers. The former is my system defaults, but I would like to use the latter in Mendeley.
Even if an internal pdf viewer has been planned for the next release, it would be very good to give the user the ability to choose if to use the internal viewer or some other fancy external viewer.
thanks,
mirko.

Currently, I add a citation into the text of my word file, and as an example, it appears as (Sahlins 1972). However, if in my text I already mention the author's name, I only want the date to show up, like "...as is argued by Sahlins (1972), the term..." Another example is if several citations are added as examples of a statement, requiring the use of "e.g." within the parentheses, thus requiring the citation to be edited.
The inserted citation does allow editing, but every so often a confirmation box pops up telling me that I need to switch back to the original or it will lose the bibliography link (which also changes it back to the original regardless of whether I click OK or Cancel, by the way).
Can this be changed to allow editing while maintaining that link?</p><p>Roberto Perez-Franco said:<br /><div class="ugc"><p>This is a deal breaker for me.</p></div></p>Roberto Perez-Francotag:feedback.mendeley.com,2008-02-07:Event/107268282012-02-09T11:12:25-08:002012-02-09T11:12:25-08:00integrate Mendeley with RSS readers<p>Anonymous suggested:<br />integrate Mendeley with RSS readers, such as Google reader.</p>Anonymoustag:feedback.mendeley.com,2008-02-07:Event/107267952012-02-09T11:08:16-08:002012-02-09T11:08:16-08:00In-program PubMed search & Metadata Retrieval [updated]<p>An in-program browser where users can go to PubMed (or a specific Journal's website) and search an article. Example, the swedish letter "å" is exported to "\aa " which contains an extra space, just using "{\aa}" would fix the issue. </p><p>EmpIzza said:<br /><div class="ugc"><p>@Gregor: Works nice in theory, but what about "På båten" => "Påbåten". Rather than creating a new entry for every chapter, I created one entry for the book and added each chapter. On sync (and rename) all of the files change to the standard:
"Author Year Title(12).pdf"
Unfortunately, I cannot know which chapter was which. The number rename seems arbitrary and is not reproduced across computers. A very simple and useful option could be:
"Author Year Title - OriginalFilename.pdf"
This is also a problem with other entries with multiple files. Another example is a poster from a conference where I possess a pdf of both the poster and the abstract.
"Author Year Title - abstract.pdf"
"Author Year Title - poster.pdf"</p><p>Anonymous said:<br /><div class="ugc"><p>Consider adding your votes instead to the Planned improvement called "Distinct names for multiple files within a citation", which deals with several related problems with multiple chapters/files.</p></div></p>Anonymoustag:feedback.mendeley.com,2008-02-07:Event/107238682012-02-09T05:40:50-08:002012-02-09T05:40:50-08:00Add document type "collection" [updated]<p>Similar to BibTeX, a doc type "collection" could be used to easily select a containing publication from the library.
