sort order of publications in web library
the web version of the library always sorts the publications alphabetically in the title, it would be nice to be able to change that option, and be able to sort publications by date, date added, authors, journal, most frequently read (by yourself and others), most citations, etc...
This has been raised with our Web Team as a possible feature in a new version.

Totally agree! In general the user interface of the Desktop and the Web should look as similar as possible!

It would be great to apply this to the iPhone & iPad app as well.

Hi Gavin! Thanks for the feedback. We're working to make the profile a little more flexible, but if you need more control in the meantime, you might consider using a third-party tool such as Exhibit. See here for details: http://www.mendeley.com/blog/mendeley-use-case/display-your-publications-on-your-own-website-using-exhibit/

an "intelligent" folder like "most frequently read" would be sooooo helpful!! also for the desktop version!!

For my research chronology is imperative - being able to sort my database tables by year simply isn't sufficient. It would not require a lot of effort to include these additional fields in the table views as well as search results (so that the results have some sort of order to them)!

yes! would be great to be able to sort/filter by 'date added' on the web interface. we're sharing documents and i would like to always see the ones most recently added right up front on the dashboard if possible.

Perhaps also a possibility of sorting by "ReaderRank", "PageRank", citations, etc.?

There is a date sorter, but i think it's sorting by perhaps date of addition to the library, instead of date of publication, which is more useful especially when sharing it with others!

I think this might be the same idea as I suggested titled "Improve the publication catalogue: simple hierarchy is not enough. Need some concept clustering?" The concept clustering/taging etc goes a bit further, though.
