The feel and processes of the OSX app should go Cocoa.
This would enhance any OSX interoperability issues in OSX.
Mendeley Desktop uses Cocoa since MD 1.6. We overhauled the Mac UI since this was originally opened two years ago. We’ll making further improvements over time.

Yes. Minor things like inconsistent text field behaviours and items on the contextual menu that don't appear in the menu bar are a constant reminder that you're not using a genuine OS X app.

This would also make several other things work better:
- Incremental search within the list
- customize list (columns, width, etc.)
- sort search results by year, author, etc.
- customize toolbar

The concept behind Mendeley is very exciting. Nobody before has attempted to fuse the two most important aspects of scientific work: research papers and the research community.
However, the client on MacOS is simply not up to the same standard as the competition: Papers.app.
Please give us a sign that a true Cocoa version of Mendeley is being developed! You could even start the ball rolling with an open-source project.
Best,
Daniel
