  Proper searching in titles an authors would be very useful, as would being able to sort by author.

  can search function work for the notes(which located besides Details) i wrote in Mendeley Desktop?

  The web search in My Library does still not work on authors or other fields. A search for "Lotka" only finds documents with "Lotka" as a part of the title, and not documents with "Lotka" as an author.

  If "metadata" is supposed to include all fields in "document details", then the search is not working properly in My Library on the web. When I search by author last name on the web version of My Library, I get *no* results. When I search on the desktop, I get many results, and those are properly restricted if I use the "author:" preface.

  This should be applied to Group libraries on Mendeley Web, too. Currently there is no way to search through a Group's library of papers except by tags. There should be a form-entry search to search all the citations in the Group's library, if not to search the full-text of the Group's library (as can be done through the desktop client).

  The original idea states "there is no search functionality in My Library on Mendeley Web" which is not quite correct - there is search across the metadata of documents in your library. We're still working on the infrastructure to support full text search on the web. As a first step, metadata search across the whole Mendeley catalog has been rolled out at http://www.mendeley.com/research-papers/search/

  I too, would like to know the status of this feature. I am analyzing which Web Reference Manager would be perfect for our needs, and this functionality is critical to us.

  What is the status for full-text search currently? It is extremely important.
