Edit name of Tabs
Let the name of each tab be editable by the user. Most of the time I can't remember the name of the paper, only the author and year.

Sort by data Added column as default when Mendeley is started.
It's very annoying to have to click the 'Added' column every time I start the program to see the most recent additions to the library.
It would be very helpful if Mendeley remembered this simple setting from the last time it was opened!

bugfix: if (web) imported entry is journal article, the journal name should not contain city name.
Some imported entries contain city name with Journal name, although it's not a book..

Along with Google scholar add open J Gate
Add other scholarly search engines and databases including now your own. Integrating your new scholarly search engine and others would make life easier. You could also add it to the "you might be interested in "option your working on now.

I wish that it was possible to see the "structure" of the document, that Mendeley provided an overview of all the headlines of a document. What I do now is that I write down all the headlines (e.g., "Introduction", "Experiment 1: Past participles", "Experiment 1a: Elicited Production of Participles", etc.) as notes, which is quite a tedious job that could very well be automatized. I think it´s always handy to get a first idea about an article by looking at its headlines. A "navigation menu" of this sort (as also provided by Microsoft Word, e.g.) would also make it easier…

add visualization/organization tools
It will be amazing if there were a way to create folders of papers in a more graphical way. Also something else that will be great to have is an automatic paper sorter and linker, this will find relationships between papers through their citations and the topics

Have a tick-box option to cite the author or date only in the text (Harvard style etc).
Unless it is available and I just haven't found it.
Rather than manually editing individual citations.
Please and thanks in advance.1 vote -

Add the ability to share a folder with specific contacts
Sharing a folder should be different from creating a group. Shared folders would be visible only to a selected set of contacts. This would be very useful for people collaborating on a paper, for example.

Add references to bibliography without citing them in the text
Mendeley should enable the user to add an item directly to the bibliography without having to cite it in the text.
