Just as notifications are set for other updates across Mendeley, there should be notifications sent when a private group member adds annotations to a document in the group. This would be useful when working collaboratively on research.

Groups would be much more useful if they could merge in news from feeds on other sites (i.e., from any rss feed).

Could You implement a selecting tool like it is in Preview on Mac or in Acrobat, that would allow the user to select a rectangle area (maybe not only rectangle) and to copy it into the clipboard.
I often want to copy a chart or table from an article and have to open the file externally to be able to do it.

Now the result from a single search can be displayed. If I want to do another search, the previous result will be replaced by the new result. Is it possible to display each result into a separate tab. So that I can also keep the previous result, while doing a new document search.

I manage many articles, when i put new i do not have time to read them at the moment and put it in some category (tag). Later I can not reach that articles which ones have no tags if i open them before. Some articles i read five times before putting into special category. So it takes a lot time to check articles which ones do not have any tag at the moment.

Unfortunately I more or less have to use Windows 7 option for the largest possible text size (150%). When I do thisthe names of the folder in the Mendely desktop vanish. They are there for small and medium text size.

At the moment, Mendeley will put " into formatted bibliography entries which is not correct for most languages (actually, it's not even correct for English). This must probably be part of a bigger localization effort, but we need the possibility to switch quotation marks according the used language.

I know italics in metadata is still not fully supported, but when using "... [i]Genus[/i] ..." in titles the filename is affected.

Instead of showing "... Genus ..." only, automatic file renaming strip brackets, but not the "i"s resulting in "... iGenusi ..." in the file name.

I have imported my pdfs - and all are marked as read by default for some reason and cannot undo it for all at once - this feature is useless then because I don´t want to go and unmark it in all 185 papers by hand.

after some rounds of collaborations with co-authors I always find that my field-free, submitted papers always look very different from my last version with Mendeley fields. While I can resolve this with some effort I wonder whether Mendeley's plugins couldn't have a feature to rebuild fields & bibliography (at least with the info from my desktop Mendeley)?

Whenever I add a document from web resources, I find it very annoying, that I have to add this document to different folders one folder after the other. Why isn't is possible to give the user a list of checkboxes to which folders the document has to be added?

As with the CV, only make the year required for the date, not even the month. If you were really wise, you might even think about not having the year be required, either. Flexibility> Rigidity
