For the annotations, it would be cleaner and more compact if the size of the post-it note was only slightly larger than the text. It would eliminate some scrolling in the notes pane and tidy things up a little.

Minor issue, but can you add "Application Note" to the types of document that Mendely uses as a template. Very similar to a journal article, but only the following fields are required, Company Name, Title of the Application Note, Authors, Abstract, URL, Keywords. These are very common in my field when company produce working protocols for their products.

I would find it very useful if I could split the pdf viewer into 2 so that I could view 2 places of the same file. A common use would be to keep an eye on the reference section of a paper while reading the file. (This feature is implemented in Skim for OS X as: View -> Show Split PDF)

Just a little thing but annoying: as you start to type in your tag, Mendeley pulls up a list of your existing tags. But when you use arrow keys to select your existing tag from the list, it saves the text in the box (partial search text) instead of the tag.

I had the same problem that many of us with the integration in Open-Office: when I tried to insert a reference, I got an error message. I solved it yesterday: you have to insert with the option "Insert button citation", do not do it with the command "Add citation", cause it sends the error message. If you don't have enabled this button, go in OpenOffice to Tools, then Costumize and add the command "Insert button citation" to your bar. Hope you can solve it too.

Allow to import a list of references from AGUs EASI digital library. Currently non of the selectable EASI output formats (XML,Refer (Endnote)) is working with Mendeley desktop import.

Mendeley should be available directly through the Ubuntu Software Center. This is easy to do. See http://developer.ubuntu.com/publish/
This will make installation and updating easier, and make Mendeley more discoverable to new users.

A URL dropped to free space in the documents list within Mendeley Desktop, or to a point between two listed documents, should create a web page type document in Mendeley.

Currently (0.9.6.1), searching switches to an ad hoc table with a column called "Search Results". This view is suboptimal because one cannot sort by title, author, or other criteria.

Instead: Provide 3 canned views: "Table", "Citations", and "Summary" (or some such). The first two are already implemented. Summary is the current Search Result view. When a user searches, s/he may switch views as desired.

Bonus points: Config option "View for search results:" (pulldown menu, including "no change" option)

The mathscinet: http://www.ams.org/mathscinet/index.html is a good place for me to find articles and the RIVIEWS of the experts, what's more they provided the bibtex format export supporting, and aways have more and precise infomation than I gets from google (and then import it into medeley), so I am wondering if you can add the MRnumbers as a catalog IDs? Although they provided the DOI.

I have about 12 thousand references in pdf, however after Medeley drive to the folder where the files, it recognizes only 4 thousand to 12, and I can not in any way to get him open and recognize the other 8 thousand what do I do?
