Well, I'm about to run out of votes since there are alot of things which could be improved, but if it was released under GPL I could just fix em myself, now thats a thought!
I agree fully with Matthias, even if it isn't released under GPL, please just release the BibTeX export module under GPL so we can fix it!
Please :)

@pol, actually that idea is a heck of a lot more precise than this, any open source licence is better than prop, but is doesn't have to be GPL. Prolly GPL would help Mendeley get into the repositories of all the linux distros, but as stated, any open source licence is better than prop-software.

Works for me.. (finally duh..)
Why don't you release mendeley as open source?

@Dan: If you are using *nix, latex and makefiles its quite easy to use sed (or other stream editor) to modify the .bib before build.

This is quite a letdown actually, how come users cannot modify which entries of the entrytypes are exported to bibtex?
This actually makes the tech savvy of us not recommend mendeley..

This would be a fantastic idea :D
I'm currently doing my PhD and keeping track of articles soon seems to be more of an effort than actually going through them :P
