The new Word plugins in Mendeley Desktop 1.5.1 and later support Office 2010 x64.

I had to remove my x64 Office and install the x86 version just so I can use Mendeley citations in Word. I suppose as moving to x64 applications would be inevitable in the future, hope you can finally update!
